Dart-Class

This needle-shaped vessel is a small but feature-laden design.

Living quarters are on a single deck, and consist of five small cabins and a galley. There are airlocks on the rear and port sides of the ship. The Dart uses a streamlined hull (SM +8) that masses 1,000 tons and is about 100 meter long.

The crew uses the staterooms with transiting imperial personnel or imperial couriers being able to use the bunkrooms.

This fast courier is the fastest commonly available interstellar ship. It is used on the core mail routes. It is replacing Hermes-class mailships on more and more routes.

The smaller data storage space can hold more than 200 times the data of a Hermes class mail ship, but to download/upload that amount to most imperial data systems would take 56 days… and even at maximum speed of the best systems it still takes close to 3 days, so in many cases they only travel with partial data loads.
