This is a fairly new developed FTL message drone that uses jump space to transit because hyperspace is too complex to transit for an automated system.

The primary use case is one where they are launched in an emergency as the crew of the ship takes to lifeboats, but survey also uses them for relaying survey information back to base. The slow speed of jump space travel makes them quite useless for any priority messages.

They are launched from standard 20 cm missile/probe launchers and most imperial ships now carry at least couple of these replacing some the of probes.

They have an com/sensor array 1 and are capable of navigating the known jump routes to given destination.

They are 0.2 tons/ $200k each and can be reused after maintenance.
