Sectors

Imperial space is divided into sectors that are 30 parsec on each side cubes. In the there are an average of just over 3000 locations in each. Locations are star systems, single stars, runaway planets and similar.

The imperial space has 12000 official sectors. Of those 3140 have actual sector administration located in the sector as those sectors have at minimum a tertiary system. The rest have a “sector administrator” in the colonial service at prime as contact person for coordination of activities.

Codes

SSUC

Each Sector has a standard sector universal code (ssuc) that ranges from 0 to 11999.

SSSUC

Each starsystem has a standard star system universal code (sssuc) that consists of the ssuc and the system number with 4 digits after it with a dash in between eg: 1033-0443 would be system 443 in the sector 1033.

SPUC

Each planet has standard planet universal code(spuc) that consists of the sssuc and the two digit planet number separated by a forward slash. eg: 1033-0443/02 would be third planet in system 443 in the sector 1033.

SMUC

Each moon has a standard moon universal code(smuc) that consists of a spuc and a 4 digit moon code separated by a dash. 1033-0443/02-0000 would be the first moon of third planet in system 443 in the sector 1033.

SNUC

Each non planetary non moon object like comets and asteroids have a standard nonplanetary universal code (snuc), that consists of the sssuc and and the 5 digit object number separated by a dash. eg: 1033-0443-04563 would be object 04563 in system 443 in the sector 1033.
