Nightgaunt

This short range local defense fighter is the standard light fighter of the empire, but being phased out.

It is limited by it's MHD turbines that also make resupply of them harder than nuclear powered fighters.

Most fleet units that have gotten the TL 11 upgrades use Typhoon as their 10 ton fighter, offering a large increase in combat power over this aging fighter, but it will be a long time until the replacement is total.

Front Hull System

[5!] Spinal Battery (10 MJ particle beam).
[6] Tactical Array (comm/sensor 5).
[core] Control Room (C6 computer, comm/sensor 3,and one control station).

Central Hull System

[1] Nanocomposite Armor (total dDR 20).
[2-5] MHD Turbine (two Power Points each).
[6!] Hot reactionless engine
[core!] Spinal Battery (central system).

Rear Hull System

[1] Hardened Nanocomposite Armor (total dDR 20).
[2-5] Hot reactionless engines
[6!] Spinal Battery (rear system).

Crew is one pilot.
